Dear Mr. President,
It was with great sorrow and apprehension that I learned about the horrible events that occurred on September 11 in the United States and took away lives of so many innocent people and led to terrible destruction.
We are with you at this tragic moment for the American people.
Ukraine decisively condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestation and urges to take all acceptable actions in civilized society to eliminate this inhuman way of attaining goals.
We hope that those guilty of these horrible crimes will not escape just punishment.
On behalf of the Ukrainian people and on my own behalf I express to you, Mr. President, the deepest condolences on the enormous grief that struck thousands of American families and echoed with pain throughout the world.
Please pass my words of condolences and support to the relatives and loved ones of the victims of the terrorists.

STATEMENT BY THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF UKRAINE

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses deep indignation at the wave of terrorist attacks committed in the United States on September 11. This crime, directed mainly at the civil population, directly challenges not only the United States but also the entire civilized world.
Whoever stand behind that tragedy, they have put themselves beyond the laws of human civilization and deserve just and inevitable punishment.
In this dramatic period the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its sincere condolences to the families and relatives of those who fell victim of that treacherous and barbaric act. The shocking events in the USA have once again emphasized the necessity for the entire international community to join efforts in fighting terrorism in all its forms and actions.
